REFLEXOLOGY TRAINING COURSE

Course Content

It is essential that you purchase the Reflexology Handbook before you commence this training course.  All the theory is worked in conjunction with the Handbook. You will also need to download your study guide from your student portal on the Reflexology website, after payment is received. 

The breakdown of the Training Course is as follows:

MODULE ONE

  • Understanding Reflexology
  • Contra-indications
  • Zone therapy
  • Real case studies provided from your Educator’s experience
  • Learning about the Vagus Nerve
  • Relaxation techniques (short finger nails are essential)
  • Walking techniques, without damaging your finger joints
  • Practical videos on reflexology technique
  • Be able to draw body organs on sheets provided in study guide 

MODULE TWO

  • Using the Reflexology Technique to work on different Illnesses.
  • Reflexology for babies and children
  • Reflexology for palliative care 

MODULE THREE

  • Understanding all the BODY SYSTEMS
  • Know where to find Body Systems on the feet
  • Read the pages on medical conditions
  • Have an understanding of most medical conditions
  • Present and document a real case study 

MODULE FOUR

Once you have completed the first three modules, you will now have enough knowledge to learn a Lymphatic Drainage using the feet. 

  • This module can be used for therapists, who have clients/patients with Lymphoedema. 
  • Understanding the importance of the lymphatic system
    • The sequence
    • Lymphatic drainage
    • Walking the feet, draining a swollen arm to another area
    • Walking the feet, draining a swollen leg to another area 

Face to Face Practical Workshop

  • Check website for workshop dates
  • Practical demonstration on walking the feet
  • Making sure the pressure is correct
  • Educator needs to assess everyone’s knowledge on body organs on sheet provided
  • Students will pair up, and demonstrate a scenario on each other
  • This will complete your Reflexology Training Couse

If you have passed all your theory and practical, you will receive your accreditation certificate in the mail, as a Reflexologist, with the Lymphoedema Academy of Australia.
